Tip for Today....

I have a ton of ribbon and a very small house with limited space for extra stuff like tons of ribbon, so I decided I needed to find a way to house all this ribbon and still make it easy to get to, so I came up with this.....

(1st, ignore the fact that they are hanging on my fridge, this was the only spot I could get a good shot of them)

The one with the spools of ribbon on it is a hanger usually meant for dress pants ... what makes this great is that the bottom of the hanger releases at one side so you can load up the spools of ribbon, hook the hanger back together and VIOLA!...it is also nice because I can just get a little ribbon of the spool with out having to remove the entire thing of ribbon... Oh I got this hanger in a set of 2 for like $5 at Wal-Mart...

The second one is a hanger I got from a dry cleaners, the kind that is metal but with a cardboard tube at the bottom ... well it is the same principal as the other hanger except that the card board was to thick for the spools, so I looped my loose ribbon that had no spool, rubber-banded (is that a word?) the middle, then slipped the loop onto the hanger.... Both of these hang in the back of my closet....

I have aquired more ribbon on the last month, and I actually need to go get some more hangers...

I know that this is not inventing the wheel, but it worked for me and I hope that it helps someone put there who has a ton of ribbon!!!!
