Crock Pot Apple Crisp .....

OK, anyone who knows me, knows that I am not the biggest cook in the kitchen, so I am trying to try out different recipes and see what is a success and what is not... I love the idea of the Crock Pot... just put in your food, slap on the lid and your ready to go....anything to make life easier.....Ya'll would have been impressed, the other day I had my big Crock Pot going with Mushroom Chicken and then I looked at my smaller Crock Pot and wondered if I could make a dessert, so I looked thru all my recipes and found this one for Apple Crisp....

Ingredients:

4-5 Apples

2 cups granola ( I used Just Bunches cereal)

4-5 Tablespoons Butter

1/4 Cup Honey

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

* Spray the inside of the crock pot before you put anything in it and it will prevent food from sticking to the sides... this goes for any recipe

1) Wash apples, core and slice ... it is personal preference about keeping the skins on, I like the skins, but you can peel the apples if you want.
2) Put apples and cereal in Crock Pot.

3) In a seperate bowl combine honey, cinnamon and nutmeg .... mix togehter and pour over apples....mix it around a little bit.

4) Cut up ibutter and put all over the top of the apples ... I did not get a picture of that.

5) cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on High for 1/2 of that time.

Everyone started digging into it before I could get a picture of it, but it will turn out like this....

and what better way to eat it than with a big (or 2) scoops of vanilla ice cream....

In the famous words of Racheal Ray.... YUMO!!!
